The tariffs and the looming threat of price increases across the market have helped contribute to a rise in new vehicle sales across the United States. VW posted a 7.1% gain in sales through the first quarter, although it has not yet released exact sales figures for April or May.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/05\/no-more-ids-vws-evs-will-get-real-names\/\">No More IDs, VW\u2019s EVs Will Get Real Names<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a statement, it notes that <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">the prices of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/vw-atlas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2025 Atlas<\/a>, Atlas Cross Sport, and ID<\/span>.4, which are currently assembled in Chattanooga, Tennessee, will remain steady through June. Additionally, the vehicles it assembles locally have a high level of US parts content \u2013 for instance, a recent study declared the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/vw-id-4\/\">ID.4<\/a> as the third most American-made vehicle in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, what happens after June is anyone\u2019s guess. It\u2019s likely that VW will closely monitor its US sales over the coming weeks before deciding on its next steps.
